On the podcast this week we welcome Nancy Fechnay.
Nancy has been a part of the investment and startup world for nearly 15 years. She co-founded three tech companies, resulting in one small exit and one seed stage ‘future of work’ company (backed by Atomico Angels and Outlier in Europe). Nancy also founded a non-profit, The Inspire Movement, in London alongside Google to promote mental health for entrepreneurs. Nancy started her career in cleantech venture capital but has since covered a large spectrum of tech sectors. She worked for Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, and GE Ventures before becoming a partner at Flight Ventures (the largest syndicate in the world) in 2015. Nancy has invested alongside top-tier US and EU-based firms, such as Softbank, Greycroft, Google Ventures, Andreessen, Bessemer, Accel, and Founders Fund.
Nancy is currently a partner in Alumni Ventures (AV) and Flight VC. AV has a unique model with 24 funds, a network of 600k+ alumni, and $700AUM. Nancy is also a Venture Partner for Gaingels, the world’s most active syndicate focused on bringing diversity to the tech ecosystem.
